IQVIA is seeking a highly qualified Senior Medical Safety Advisor to provide expert medical input in the field of pharmacovigilance and drug safety. Job Overview

Job Role: Sr. Medical Safety Advisor | Location: Bengaluru | Experience: 3+ years | Application Mode: Online

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical reviews of AEs and ADRs with proper causality, seriousness, and expectedness evaluations.
• Review and prepare Analyses of Similar Events (AOSE) for regulatory submissions.
• Provide medical input on coding (MedDRA, WHO-DD) for AEs, SAEs, medical history, and medications.
• Participate in protocol and CRF review for safety data completeness and accuracy.
• Author and contribute to aggregate reports such as DSURs, PBRERs, RMPs.
• Lead signal detection and safety surveillance activities.
• Support EU QPPV and safety communication requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, ICH, and regulatory pharmacovigilance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical Degree (MBBS or MD) from a recognized institution.
• At least 3 years of clinical practice including residency or internship.
• 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry or CRO experience in pharmacovigilance preferred.
• Strong understanding of global PV guidelines, including GVP modules, ICH E2E, and GCP.
• Familiarity with safety databases such as ARGUS, ARISg, or Veeva Vault Safety.

Preferred Skills

• Valid medical license is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in signal detection, aggregate report preparation, and risk management strategies.
• Excellent medical writing and clear communication skills.
